\nThis type of saber was the first saber issued to Polands famed Ulahn cavalrymen after Polands independence in 1918. Sabers such as this crossed swords with the blades of Soviet cavalrymen in the 1920 Battle of Komar in the Polish-Soviet War – a war that halted Communisms westward progress into Europe and asserted Polands recent independence. This battle had the distinction of being the last major cavalry-only engagement in history and the Polish cavalrymen soundly defeated the Soviet invaders.

\nPlease Note: It is common for steel scabbards and steel swords to have some cosmetic blemishing present which comes from blade contact with steel scabbard which can cause scuffs / scratching on the blade.
