German Longsword with Twisted Wood Grip – Stage Combat Version
This complex-hilted longsword can more readily deflect and entrap an opponents blade than swords with simpler hilts and this allows for it to be used for a greater variety of offensive and defensive techniques when in skilled hands. The rings on the hilt and extended crossguard also serve to give excellent protection to the hands and forearms. The blade of this example is made from high carbon steel and it has thickened edges which allow for it to be used for stage and sport combat where repeated blade-on-blade contact is to be expected. It is durably mounted into its hilt.

\nThe crossguard and pommel are made from blued steel and the grip is carved hardwood with a smooth polish. The sword comes with a wooden scabbard which is wrapped in leather and completed with blued steel fittings.

\nThe black felt tab at the base of the crossguard can be removed if desired.
