Hedemark Norse Sword – Late 9th Century – Deepeeka
This Late 9th Century Viking Sword is intended for stage and sport combat and has a thick blade with blunted edges which are intended blade-on-blade contact. The blade is crafted from EN45 high carbon steel and the guard and pommel are steel. The grip is wood and it is tightly overlaid with leather. The guard has a felt tab insert fitted atop it to cushion the guard from contact with the scabbard – it can be easily removed if needed.

\nThe companion scabbard of the blade has a core of wood and it is bound in tight and stitched leather. A wooden suspension loop is integrated onto the scabbard with fitted leather bindings.
