Landsknecht Dagger – Deepeeka
This Landknecht Dagger is based on a historical example from Solingen, Germany and makes a fine companion piece to a Katzbalger sword and functions eminently well as the finishing piece to a Landsknecht ensemble. The stiff and thin blade will ably pierce thick clothing or the gaps in an armored defense in a melee scrum and the wide S-guard gives much more protection for the hand than most daggers. The blade is crafted from tempered high carbon steel and the guard and pommel are crafted from blackened steel. The grip is well-carved wood and brass accenting completes the dagger. The dagger is matched with a scabbard of thick leather and is completed with blued steel fittings and brass finishing accenting. Brass hanging rings allow for it to be worn.

\nPlease Note: It is common for the scabbard to have a combination of dried brown oil and light rust on the blued steel scabbard components. Using WD-40 or the Windlass Rust Blocker solution can remove much of this with a thorough wipedown. Metal polish can also be used to clean and clear this up but the exacting metal polish and its use need to be used carefully as some of these have an abrasive component that can diminish or remove the blued finish.
