This dagger with its forward-sloping quillons is a blade intended to be a duelists companion; the large quillons not only protect the hand well, but the flared pyramidal quillon tips aid in trapping the blade of the opponent for the few critical moments needed to deliver the finishing strike. Not limited to a dueling weapon, this dagger does make an attractive prospect for the late-medieval or Renaissance person who wants a large fighting dagger that also manages to be fashionable on the belt. \n \nThe blade is high carbon steel and the guard and pommel are of steel. The quadrangular grip is overlaid with black leather and has a ribbed form for an improved grip. The dagger is accompanied with a companion scabbard of robust leather that has been stitched with thick leather lacing.
