The new version of the Sir Marshal Sword has a more pronounced distal taper to lighten and better balance the blade and also a better fitting scabbard with improved design. A good example of the knightly sword of the high middle ages, the tempered blade is crafted from C60 (similar to 1060) high carbon steel with a hardness of 48-52 HRc. The hilt components are forged from steel and the grip is wood with a leather stitched binding which is tightly fitted. The scabbard is crafted from wood and bound in matching leather It has binding cord of leather and a wood suspension loop for a belt or baldric.
