The Teutonic Arming Sword has thick, blunted edges that are intended to weather the repeated blows of sport and stage combat; the forged blade of high carbon steel has a hollow-ground cross-section that serves to reduce weight and a rounded tip for safety. The blade edges are at least 2 mm in thickness.

\nThe crossguard and pommel are handcrafted from steel and the wooden grip is tightly bound with a quality leatherwork grip. The blade tang is stoutly peened on the pommel to create a strongly constructed hilt. The wood-core scabbard is tightly overlaid in leather; on a single side the leather locket is etched and emblazoned with a cross and shield.
