This robust Viking Seax is built for stage and sport combat with its durable overall construction and a thick and blunt-edged blade of tempered high carbon steel. The thick spine gives the blade durability and the tip is rounded for safety. The cutting edge is thick and blunt both for resilience and safety. \n \nThe guard and pommel are heat blued steel and the thick hardwood grip is tightly bound in a wrap of high quality leather. The blade is securely mounted into the hilt with a stout peen on the pommel. Included with the seax is a sheath crafted from thick, high quality vegetable tanned leather with thickly stitched leather cord construction and a pair of belt loops for wear.
